Information on: choice of filter sheet and setting up and using the filter

40 x 40 cm filters: Italian made:-

          photo of the removable extension shaft which allows 20 plates or less to be used in a 30 plate chassis.

Stainless steel chassis, with black Noryl steamable plastic filter plates. It's very important to steam sterilise the filter pack.

Centre-spindle clamping, easily moveable on wheels, 1" bsp threads (optional adaptors to other sizes).
Includes inlet and outlet ball-valves, air bleed nozzles and taps for taking filtered product samples, and sight glass on outlets.

   30 plate Chassis with 20 Noryl plates (from 11 to 19 sheets can be used): 4767 Euros
   30 plate Chassis with 30 Noryl plates (from 21 to 29 sheets can be used): 5168 Euros

Optional three 'changeover/crossover' plates for double filtration (coarse and sterile filtration in one pass), 205 Euros
plus extra valves and fittings required for the alternative outlet, 285 Euros.

Note: the Noryl plates are 40.50 Euros each, so you can buy extra plates to fit in the chassis.

Note: for filtering 80% alcohol only stainless steel plates are suitable; polypropylene (Moplen) or Noryl would not last long.

Replacement seals: for end-plates 5.50 Euros each, for intermediate plates 6.80 Euros each.

40 x 40 cm EN models:

white polypropylene plates are shown in the photo, they are suitable only for higher alcohol spirits, they cannot be steamed.
For wine it is recommended to have black Noryl plates, which can be steam sterilised; however, Noryl is not suitable for higher alcohol spirits.
