A tank stirrer is an essential tool for professional winemaking; for sugar additions, blending, reducing CO2 etc. Except where stated, all models have 380 volt (3-phase) motors, although some motors can be re-wired to run from 230 volt 3-phase. The stainless steel shaft/propeller is withdrawn through the stainless steel pipe so that the pipe can be pushed through
a Gr.37 Flap-valve (ZLK) and the collar tightened, the propeller/shaft is then pushed back into the tank and locked. Some models are available with a fitting to go through a DIN40 or DIN50 ball-valve. IND: IND-0: 230 Volts (1-phase) 0.37 kWatt, 1400 rpm, shaft 800 mm long / 15 mm diameter, 1224 Euros IND-V0: variable speed model (with frequency converter), 380 Volts (3-phase), 0.37 kWatt, 2120 Euros Available with interchangeable fittings: to go through a Gr.37 Flap-valve ('ZLK'), or a DIN40 (or DIN50) ball-valve; 180 Euros extra for each extra one if required. On this mixer the stainless steel shaft is not pulled back through the motor. It is made of three parts:- The disadvantage of using it with a DIN40/50 ball-valve is that it has to be installed in an empty tank,
whereas with a Flap-valve it can be moved easily from tank to tank while the tanks are full. EN: 380 Volts (3-phase), 1400 rpm with a fitting to go through a DIN40 or DIN50 ball-valve, or a Gr.37 Flap-valve ('ZLK'). EN-1: 0.75 kWatt, for tanks up to 35,000 litres, 1792 Euros EN-2: for tanks up to 70,000 litres, 3440 Euros Optional floor-standing adjustable height stand, in stainless steel, to support the weight of the motor, 276 Euros Kiesel, made in Germany, 380 Volts 3-phase:-

- tank stirrers (also known as rousers or agitators or mixers)
3-phase stirrer motors require the supply to have 5 wires: 3 phases + neutral + earth; not just 4 wires (3P + N) as some 3 phase electricity supplies have.
or 380 Volts (3-phase), 1200 Euros
- a stainless steel fitting for a DIN40 (or DIN50) ball-valve or a Gr.37 Flap-valve, shown in the middle of the photo,
- the shaft and propeller, right side in photo,
