Winegrowers Supplies  -  collecting hopper with auger - for de-stemmed grape mash or apple pommace

Hopper with 230 volt motorised auger: 600 Euros

390 mm x 390 mm x 200 mm deep; 380 mm high including the leg.

Can be connected directly to a rubber impeller pump (Z110 or Z180) or a large eccentric screw (monho) pump.

Note: we have found that the above hopper does not work with milled apples, due to the steep sides of the hopper, which results in 'bridging' from one side to the other, so the apple pieces are in an arch above the auger.

Low level hopper on four castors, with 0.55 kWatt, 230 Volt motorised auger: 1020 Euros

The photo shows a Garolla clamp connection but DN65 is also available, at extra cost.

Can be connected via a short hose to a rubber impeller pump (Z110 or Z180) or large eccentric screw pump.

Overall dimensions of the unit: 830 mm x 530 mm x 300 mm high,
top of hopper is 600 mm x 470mm inside the lip.

Note: after a lot of trials we have found that this is not suitable for apple pommace, as there is not enough juice to lubricate the rubber impeller.

Larger and faster models are available.

Stainless steel hopper and auger, for SP05 and SP06, 450 mm x 520 mm (430 mm high), 90-Maische female thread inlet, 629 Euros

Note: we have found that the above hopper does not work with milled apples, due to the steep sides of the hopper, which results in 'bridging' from one side to the other, so the apple pieces are in an arch above the auger.

Adaptor 90-Maische female thread to DN65 male thread (for when the hopper is replaced with DN65, for pumping), 148 Euros
DN65 hose-tail, 92 Euros (for 65 mm internal diameter hose to convey the crushed berries into a press or tank)
With extra connectors the pump can also be used as a normal wine pump.

Replacement stators: SP05 195 Euros; SP06 215 Euros
Standard stators are for up to 60 C, an NBR heat-resistent stator is available (for up to 100 C).

The following models can be used for moving pommace or grapes to the press:-

TEM PR250:  5,720 Euros

for transferring grapes, either whole bunches or de-stemmed. It is placed under the de-stemmer, the top of the hopper is 40 cms above floor level.
The grapes fall into the hopper, where an auger pushes them directly inside the pump casing. The grapes are then pushed onwards by an elliptic rotor;
the elliptic rotor is a type of volumetric pump with a very low rotation speed (60 to 70 rotations per minute) which enables a very gentle movement, without shaking and crushing of stalks or skins or abraision of pips.
The grapes emerge through a 100 mm pipe (for whole grapes) or optionally 60 or 80 mm (for de-stemmed grapes).

10,000 to 12,000 litres/hour, 3 kWatt 380 volt (3-phase), 145 kilos, 8 metre pump head.
The pump can be fitted with a mechanical variable speed regulator (1,140 Euros extra).
The other important option is a compensation (equalising) chamber (295 Euros extra); on larger piston pumps, eccentric screw pumps and also on this elliptic rotor pump its recommended to install a compensation chamber.
The large pump body and hose, combined with the very low rotation speed causes the unit to vibrate more. The compensation chamber counteracts the vibrations leading to a more continuous flow.

It is not harmed by dry running. It is ideal for use with the Precisa and Madrina de-stemmers.

Kiesel Flat mash pumps FTF: specially for use under de-stemming machines or mills.

Made of 1.4301 stainless steel; includes hopper, casing, chassis, shaft, feeding-screw, joint pieces and special throw rotor. The pumps run completely vibration-free, due to the light weight of the construction.
The rotation speed is chosen to be slow, in order not to damage the transported material.
The joints of the pumps are open construction to simplify cleaning; they can rotate in either direction for cleaning.

It gently moves crushed fruit, whole bunches of grapes, fermented skins etc. All 380 volt (3-phase):-
