These high quality bench-mounted machines are a simple and efficient way of applying
foil-capsules to sparkling wine bottles (Champagne shape neck, 75cl and 150cl Magnums).
Other models are available for smaller or different shape bottles, for example on 20cl Cava bottles.
The unit has two insertion places, the insides are made of special rubber.
The left hand place has four inside grooves, to form the traditional four pleats on the capsule.
The right hand place is used to smooth the capsule over the bottle neck.
The operator simply pushes the bottle, with capsule loose over the top, into the first place and then into the second place. Up to 500 bottles an hour are possible.
No electric power is required, compressed air only is needed. The compressed
air at the in-feed should be at least 5 bar (preferably 6 bar) to give a
constant pressure of 4 to 4.5 bar after the air-filter/pressure-reducer which is
mounted on the rear of the unit (this is set in the workshop at 4 to 4.5 bar; the
setting can be adjusted slightly according to the foils being used).
