Winegrowers Supplies  -  Semi-automatic labelling machines for applying self-adhesive labels

It is essential that bottles or jars are dry, otherwise self-adhesive labels will not stick properly.

Enomet:- the roll of labels must be wound so it 'unwinds clockwise on the machine', with labels on the outside of the roll.

   ETC-20: 3310 Euros

          Video of it in use

With two rollers that move automatically, to press the label on to the bottle.
It's very easy to adjust the position of these rollers so that different diameter bottles can be labelled.

When the bottle is inserted it starts automatically by a sensor. The time between sensing a bottle and the label being rolled on is 3.5 seconds; 800 bottles/hour is typical.

Designed for a single label roll, with front labels (or front and back labels alternately on the roll) with 3 mm (or more) spacing between labels.
The adjustment for exact label spacing is easily made with a simple potentiometer on the control panel.

Label roll: internal diameter of 65 to 75 mm and external diameter of 200 mm.
Label height: maximum 180 mm. Suitable for bottle diameters between 60 mm and 112 mm.

230 volts single-phase 50 Hz, 0.30 kWatt. Weighs 60 kilos; 800 mm x 470 mm (800 mm when equipped with the printing device) x 600 mmH.

  FX-10: 3260 Euros

With a roller that moves up and down automatically, to press the label on to the bottle.
Weight is 55 kilos, dimensions 650 mm x 500mm x 650mm high.

The standard FX-10 is equipped to apply a single label, at up to 800 bottles per hour.
Optionally, with a roll having alternate front and back labels, the machine is able to affix and centre both labels in a single pass (cylindrical bottles only).

  or the FX-20: 4260 Euros

This is equipped to apply front and back labels from two separate rolls of labels. It has two moving top-rollers to press the labels on to the bottle.
On a wheeled stand, weight is 80 kilos, dimensions 650 mm x 650mm x 1200 mm high.

Technical features and performance, of FX-10 and FX-20:-

With mechanical lever to lock the container when it is inserted, they can affix a front and back label in the same cycle.

Production: up to 800 bottles per hour.
   Container inserted horizontally.
Pressure on container during the labelling operation: 8 kilos.
   Compressed air requirement 0.1 dm32/min @ 2.5 bar.
Label application error tolerance: 2 mm (with cylindrical containers).
Wrap-around labels up to a maximum width of 280 mm may be applied.
For cylindrical containers between 60 mm and 120 mm in diameter (optionally from 35 mm).

Label roll with internal diameter 76 mm (40 mm optional), max external diameter 280 mm.
Label height: up to 140 mm.
Power supply: 230 volt single phase 50 Hz (other voltages and 60 Hz motors are options).
   Power consumption: 0.20 kWatt (FX-10), 0.3 kWatt (FX-20).

The machines have a stainless steel casing and knurled silicone paper winding roller with quick release.
The electrical control makes it possible to utilise a wide variety of variants by simply inserting the appropriate optional control-unit (electronic board).

As well as normal cylindrical bottles, the machines can optionally label square bottles (60 mm to 100 mm), jars and other containers, including those made of synthetic materials.

Some of the many options:-

Digital Control Panel with LED, for FX-10. This has many advantages, for example it can be programmed to apply a front and back label from the same roll when desired, 225 Euros.
225 Euros is the price when purchased initially with a machine. As a spare part on its own the price is 720 Euros. This is the main reason why it is recommended on every new machine.

There is no need for the labels to be produced at any special spacing between front and back label on the same roll, 3 mm is normal.
With the Digital Control Panel you specify the distance between the two labels as you want them to be applied on the bottle. It is a time value to decide, in milliseconds.
When '2 LABELS; 1 REEL' appears on the digital panel, you will be able to adjust the 'distance' between the two labels.
The machine will apply the first label and then the second at the set distance, during the same rotation.
Initially it will take a few trials to set this correctly, according to the particular bottle you are using.

Ink Stamping unit: 1390 Euros. This is the cheapest option if (for example) you wish to print a Lot number on the label.
Pneumatic operation (3 bar, 50 litres compressed air). Characters 3 mm x 3 mm. Stamping area: 39 mm x 39 mm. Maximum 4 lines, up to 13 characters per line,
more characters on a line slows the performance. The unit includes: 6 sets of numbers from 0 to 9, 3 letters L and 5 spaces. Additional characters would cost 8 Euros each.
Three ink cartridges are included.

An alternative is a Hot Foil Stamper: 2165 Euros. Characters 3 mm x 3 mm. Stamping area: 26 mm x 13 mm. Two lines of 12 characters each (brass).
The Stamper includes 1 tape and the following: 2 sets of characters from 0 to 9, 3 letters L and 5 spaces (between the characters). Additional characters would cost 8.00 Euros each.

Ink Stamper:      Hot Foil Stamper:

If you have the Digital Control Panel option, to be able to apply front and back labels from the same roll, the Stamper will print only on the second label.
If you decide to use a roll with only front labels, the digital panel is easily re-programmed so that the Stamper will print on every label.
Both Ink Stamper and Hot Foil Stamper require an air compressor. A 100 litre air-reservoir is enough, it must operate at 4 to 5 bar.

The Ink Stamper can be added at a future time, the connections are very easy to make, only a cable to connect on the control panel and the air supply from a compressor to be connected.
To add the Hot Foil Stamper to an existing labeller is rather more complicated. There is a cable to be connected on the control panel and also a relay inside it.
Also the air-compressor connection. Then there are a couple of small adjustments to make on trimmers inside the control panel of the Stamper itself.
This is to adjust the pressure time (the time the holding-letters base stays pressed against the label) and the delay between the end of a labelling cycle and the starting of the printing.
Either Stamper would be provided pre-assembled, with its stainless steel structure to be fitted in the machine.

Or an ink-jet marker/printer, complete with structure, 2210 Euros.
This prints alphanumeric codes, logos and bar-codes. Maximum printing height 25 mm, memory of up to 1000 images.

FX-10 only: stainless steel trolley with brake, 280 Euros

Kit for small bottles, from 35 mm diameter, 197 Euros.

Special soft rollers - two idle rollers, 308 Euros.
The special Soft rollers are needed if the cylindrical part of the bottle is not flat, some beer bottle shapes have raised bands in the glass around the upper and lower parts.

FX-10 only: for square bottles, each positioning of the bottle in the machine permits fixing a label on one of its faces. This accessory may be removed when working with cylindrical bottles, 767 Euros

Photocell for reading transparent labels (otherwise not recognisable), 860 Euros

Samples of bottles and labels can to be sent to Italy in order to have the machine pre-adjusted for your labels.
This is not essential as adjustment can be made by the user.

Prices shown are exclusive of Vat.
Delivery will need to be charged at cost.
